In relation to the opening mode of Aluminium frames, they are classified into two major categories, namely hinged and sliding, whilst depending on their characteristics they are classified as either cold or energy saving. Factors such as Insulation, Soundproofing, Safety, and Functionality are those that will determine the type of frame chosen depending on the needs that prevail in each case.
HINGED FRAMES
Hinged frames offer the maximum degree of insulation, soundproofing and safety. The main advantages of such frames are that they can be opened entirely, and they can offer maximum security as they have a multi-point perimeter locking mechanism and top thermal insulation, as they are applied with special EPDM rubber and have no loss of energy. The only disadvantage of hinged frames is functionality when used in small spaces, as they need a large enough surface to operate, that is, the space in front of the sheets must remain free of furniture and objects so that the windows or shutters can swivel.
